I may not be a fan of the color pink, but I do appreciate how quirky, colorful and whimsical this wedding turned out to be. Fuschia Pink & Aqua Blue mixed with a green and tangerine pair of wings, some colorful variety of flowers hanging in the trees or put inside clear bottles, plus the shabby chic white door and mailbox that marks the entrance to the long red carpet, the outdoor bohemian wedding set in the windy hills of splendid Tagaytay...what more can one ask for?Singer JOLINA MAGDANGAL & Rivermaya Drummer MARK ESCUETA's Whimsical Wedding last Nov 19 is clearly a marvelous work of art. Every detail is well-thought of and executed with precision. Here are some of the pictures courtesy of MANGO RED:
I'm glad that Jolens found her match in Mark. The singer and the drummer surely makes a wonderful pair, and hopefully, more beautiful music together.
It's so inspiring to see two people celebrate a very special moment in their lives and have it all done in their own unique style.
I'm a sucker for lists. And ever since I started being in charge of this venue and this site, I've started listing MY SUPPLIERS LIST. I believe in The Law of Attraction and that the Universe will always conspire to give us our hearts desires.
One of the people I have included in my TOP TEN List of People I Should Meet is THE Jason Magbanua.
Not even 3 months have passed since I listed his name, and the Universe surprisingly conspired.
I was fortunate enough to finally meet THE Jason Magbanua in a recent wedding I attended with my college buddies. The bonus is I got to see him shoot and actually EDIT his stuff for my friend's wedding.
PROOF: Look at the picture above. That's me (the author of this post) and Jason, one of the most- skilled and most-awarded wedding videographer (he calls himself "wedding film maker" :D) in the country today.
But that is just a teaser, my real topic for this blog post is THE LIST.
THE LIST
If you are a bride-to-be and you are currently in the early stages of planning your wedding you definitely have to have the LIST. This particular list I am referring to is your "MUST HAVES" and "GOOD TO HAVE."
This list refers to almost everything that you will need to get from Suppliers. Those items which you will BOOK/ SECURE and, of course, PAY FOR like Wedding Ceremony and Reception Venue/s, Catering Services, Invitations, Bridal Gowns, Photography, Videography, Pre-Nup Videos/Photos, Event Styling, and other items you deem necessary to make your wedding day uniquely special.
The way you do your list is very important. The first draft is where you LET IT ALL OUT. This is similar to your CHRISTMAS LIST in the sense that some of the things that you will include may be whimsical, totally out of this world, or something which might be difficult to get or execute. Sky is the limit. Do NOT edit yet. Just write everything you WISH to have.
After you have written EVERYTHING that you THINK you want to have then the next step would be to RANK them (together with your future spouse) according to your DESIRE to have it included in your wedding.
Example 1-5 Stars. With 5 Stars being the highest READ: I will do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING to make this item part of my wedding.
The 3rd step would be to ASSESS your list. Now that you have asked yourself HOW MUCH YOU WANT each item and you have ranked them accordingly, divide the list into 2:
LIST A = MUST HAVES (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
LIST B - Good to Have (Negotiable)
Now, let's get to work !
In my humble opinion, those in LIST A is excluded from rationalization.
After all, deciding to get married isn't always the most RATIONAL thing to do. ☺
Hence, you don't put those things there and ask yourself things like:
- Do I really NEED this?
- Can we afford it?
- Is it practical?
YOU DON'T!Why? Because you are special and you know you deserve ONLY THE BEST on your wedding day.
Besides, YOU ALREADY KNOW either of these 2 things: a) it's way beyond your budget or b) this item is IMPOSSIBLE to get given your limited resources.
Therefore, for LIST A you only need to ask the ff:
--> How can we afford it?
--> Can I get this as a gift?
--> Who can help us source it?
--> Where will I get/find this?
--> Who can help me get it done at a more reasonable price?
--> Is this available locally or can I ask one of my relatives/ friends to bring it in from Paris/ Adelaide/ Marrakech/ Istanbul?
For LIST B, then you might want to ask the ff :
- Can we get this for FREE?
- Where/When should I start looking for it?
- If it's not available, what's the next best thing to have?
Okay, so now that you've finished reading this..you might want to do your LIST again. Or at least, include it in today's TO DO List. Preparing for a wedding entails lots of details so you need to be uber-organized. Start listing. :D

This is the question we are asked most often.
Well, the quick answer is that it is located near Sumulong Hi-way. And if you don't have an appointment yet then you better call or text us before we give you the EXACT and COMPLETE address.
This garden is being kept secret for a reason. For one, we can only accommodate ONE EVENT per day. Hence, we don't want anyone (or a whole group) walking in at any time especially if the garden is already booked for the day. That wouldn't be polite, would it? If you are our guest, you would want the same privacy and consideration, right? Of course.
Second, we want to get to know you first. We want you to feel at home when you visit the garden for the first time, which hopefully, will not be the last. We want to talk to you and be able to help you in whatever way we can.
Last but not the least, we don't have a doorbell. Believe it or not, we don't. So, it wouldn't look good to the neighbors if you try to use a 5-peso coin to get someone to open the gate. Or worse, jump over the bakod (gated fence). Now, that would really call the WRONG attention. So, do yourself a favor and pls be more polite and considerate. Thank you.
